Certified Property Rescue is seeking highly motivated candidates for currently open Technician and Claims Specialist positions. This is NOT a construction job. Technicians and Claims Specialists primarily respond to emergencies and losses involving properties that have been damaged by fire, smoke, water, or mold, and are instrumental in mitigating the damage in the process to restore the property to its pre-loss condition. This is a fast paced workplace and requires high drive and excellent work ethics. Candidate must have strong leadership, organizational skills, and communication strength. Experience within the restoration, remediation and/or mitigation industry is a plus, but not required for Technician applicants. Direct, verifiable industry experience is required for Claims Specialist applicants.

Job requirements:

  • The right attitude accompanied by a willingness to work, learn and grow in a team environment.
  • Be willing to participate in a 24-hour, on-call rotation.
  • This is a demanding industry. You must be physically capable of regularly moving furniture and other household contents, including equipment weighing 70+ lbs.
  • A good driving record.
  • Clean background (background check and DMV record will be reviewed prior to start-date, and periodically for the duration of employment).
  • Working knowledge of Xactimate is required for Claims Specialist position, but not for Technician position.
  • Industry Experience and IICRC, ACAC, and/or RIA Certification(s) desired, but not required (WRT, AMRT, ASD, SRT, OCT, CMR etc).
  • Candidate must reside within a 40 minute drive or less from Cameron Park, CA.
  • Strong organizational, time-management and interpersonal skills.
  • A high level of personal and professional integrity, determination, and dedication.

Relevant Work Experience: Technician – 1 year desired, but not required; Claims Specialist – 2 years or more

Education Level: High School or equivalent

Job Status: Full-time or Part-time

Job Shift: Varies (mostly day shift; however some after hours, weekends, holidays may be necessary, and for several weeks at a time, during winter months particularly)

Job description:

The right person will work alongside and assist project managers in water damage mitigation, fire/smoke restoration and mold remediation jobs. As you grow within the position and company, you will be expected to work independently and manage others. Opportunities for advancement from Technician to Claims Specialist, and/or from Claims Specialist to Project Manager position will be available within a reasonable time period depending on skills, abilities, performance and job knowledge. The current position of Technician has a typical pay of $25,000 – $45,000 annually (pro-rated for part-time positions) plus discretionary bonuses, overtime etc (pro-rated for part-time positions). The current Claims Specialist position includes a typical pay range of $30,000 – $50,000, plus discretionary bonuses, DOE and DOQ. These positions are paid on an hourly basis, not salary.
